2010 Toyota Corolla Review

The 2010 Toyota Corolla is a 4-door, 5-passenger family sedan, available in 8 trims, ranging from the Base 5-Spd.MT to the XRS 5-Spd AT. Upon introduction, the Base 5-Spd MT is equipped with a standard 1.8-liter, I4, 132-horsepower engine that achieves 26-mpg in the city and 35-mpg on the highway. A 5-speed manual transmission with overdrive is standard. The XRS 5-Spd AT is equipped with a standard 2.4-liter, I4, 158-horsepower engine that achieves 22-mpg in the city and 30-mpg on the highway. A 5-speed automatic transmission with overdrive is standard.

The 2010 Toyota Corolla is a reliable, comfortable and fuel-efficient, a great option for those who want dependability, comfort and great value. But it doesn’t have the versatility, style or power of the top-scoring cars in the class. Some critics say the Corolla’s plain design and materials are only adequate compared to the quality of some competitors. According to Edmunds, “The 2010 Toyota Corolla compact sedan rides well and is fuel-efficient in base form, but is otherwise unremarkable. The 2010 Toyota Corolla’s cabin is pleasant enough, but it doesn’t stand out in any particular way.”

However, if your vehicular preference is for a modest but fuel-efficient and reliable compact sedan from a trusted Japanese brand, this may be an excellent choice.
