The Funny Car victory at Auto Club Raceway at Pomona, is Force’s record 127th, and it came in his 203rd final, his last win came against Tim Wilkerson at Heartland Park Topeka in Kansas in 2008. He did not win a race in 2009.

The Top Fuel win by Larry Dixon also marked a bit of a comeback as his team didn’t even qualify at last year’s race, where qualifying was shortened by rain. Mike Edwards’ win continued the dominance that the reigning Pro Stock world champ showed in closing out his successful 2009 campaign.

The NHRA Full Throttle Drag Series resumes next weekend in Phoenix, Ariz., for the 26th annual Arizona Nationals, Feb. 19-21.

Following its Los Angeles Auto Show reveal, Toyota has announced the pricing for the 2011 Sienna which will be in dealerships in February. The base Sienna powered by the 2.7L four-cyl starts at $24,260.
The 2011 Sienna is available with either a 187-hp 2.7L four-cylinder or 266-hp 3.5L V6. The V6 powered models will be available in February, with the four-cyl equipped models showing up in April. Pricing ranges from $24,260 to $39,770 for the Sienna Limited all-wheel-drive (AWD) V6. The new “sporty” SE model starts at $30,550.

New details on Honda’s race car replacement to the NSX have been released. According to a press release, Honda HSV-010 GT will use a 3.4-liter naturally-aspirated V8 engine producing 500 or more horsepower and 392 or more Nm of torque.

At 4.675 x 2.000 meters, the new race car is 65 mm longer and 100 mm wider than the outgoing model. Height of the new Honda has not been disclosed. Wheelbase is 170 mm longer at 2.7 meters.

The new Honda HSV-010 GT will get its first test at the Suzuka Circuit on March 21.

Upon introduction, the SE FWD is is powered by a 263-hp 3.5-liter direct injection V6 engine and six-speed automatic transmission with the option of steering wheel mounted paddle shifters. The SHO AWD is equipped with a standard 3.5-liter, V6, 365-horsepower, turbo engine that achieves 17-mpg in the city and 25-mpg on the highway. A 6-speed automatic transmission with overdrive is standard on both trims.

Standard safety features include electronic stability and traction control, four-wheel anti-lock brakes, six airbags, ignition disable and post-crash SOS alert. The new 2010 Taurus starts at $25,995 — the same price as the prior model. The uplevel SEL starts at $27,995 and the top-end Limited sets buyers back $31,995.

The 2010 Toyota Corolla is a reliable, comfortable and fuel-efficient, a great option for those who want dependability, comfort and great value. But it doesn’t have the versatility, style or power of the top-scoring cars in the class. Some critics say the Corolla’s plain design and materials are only adequate compared to the quality of some competitors. According to Edmunds, “The 2010 Toyota Corolla compact sedan rides well and is fuel-efficient in base form, but is otherwise unremarkable. The 2010 Toyota Corolla’s cabin is pleasant enough, but it doesn’t stand out in any particular way.”

A picture of the 2011 Mustang GT and an engine shot of the new 2011 5.0 V8 has hit the internet. The new engine will come with four valves per cylinder and Ford’s latest and twin independent variable valve timing. Tuned exhaust headers, a forged-steel crankshaft, plus high-performance pistons and connecting rods will also come as standard. Customers will be able to pick from a 6-speed automatic or 6-speed manual transmission.

The new V-6 will displace 3.7-liters and it makes nearly 100 horsepower more than the previous 4.0-liter mill–95 to be exact. Not only that, but the 305 ponies puts the engine in the same ballpark as the Chevrolet Camaro V-6 and the Hyundai Genesis Coupe V-6. Ford’s rivals were knocking on the door of the more powerful Mustang GT with their V-6 power numbers, and the Blue Oval appears to have responded appropriately.

The manufacturer says there will be a lot of options for the 2011 Audi A1 that will give you the possibility to personalize your car, especially at the interior. The front grille of the 2011 Audi A1 will still spell AUDI, but Stefan Sielaff, Head of Design, says they might do something different with it.

“Our goal with the A1 is a bold one: to repeat the success that we have enjoyed with the A3 in the compact segment,” says Rupert Stadler, Chairman of the Board of Management of Audi. “With the A1 we’re opening another door into the world of premium cars.”

Chevrolet Equinox will provide customers a vehicle filled with refinement, comfort and great value.”

The 2010 Chevy Equinox trims include the front-drive LS model, the 1LT, 2LT, and the loaded LTZ. Each equipped with front-wheel drive (2WD) or all-wheel drive (AWD). General Motors’ Chevrolet Equinox models has Ecotec, a new 2.4-liter four cylinder engine , redesigned with smaller, more advanced, direct injection engine that improves horsepower from 164 to 182 and torque from 160 to 172 pound-feet, with estimated highway fuel economy, 25 percent better compared its previous model at 30 mpg (EPA certification pending).

Chevrolet Equinox exterior design is inspired from the Chevrolet Malibu sedan and Traverse crossover. Also included in its features is the six-speed automatic transmission which alters the shift points to increase fuel economy by about 1 mpg. Models consist of traction and stability control, automatic headlights, keyless entry, one year of OnStar, air-conditioning, tilt/telescopic wheel, cruise control, satellite radio, compass, floor mats. Bluetooth, leather-wrapped wheel, remote start system, rearview camera are optional.

Also available is the more powerful 3-liter V6, with 264-horsepower and 222 pound-feet of torque found in the more upscale settings that also comes with a six-speed automatic transmission, but it adds a manual shiftgate.

The 188 inches long, compact Equinox seats five with ease, with more than 31 cubic feet of cargo space behind the rear seat. It looks good, most importantly provides comfort because vehicle has been immunized against vibration and is equipped with best-in-class highway fuel economy for a quieter and smoother ride.
